Procedure - Water Softener Debugging
NORMAL OPERATION
When the softener display shows 100 to 250 gallons of water, the system will automatically clean itself at night around 2:30 a.m. After cleaning the display will show approximately between 800 - 2000 gallons of water depending on the setting.
MANUAL TESTING
We want to see if the cleaning cycles are correct.
Press and hold the REGEN button to start the manual cleaning. There are 5 cycles. Confirm each cycles after 2 minutes.
Press REGEN button again and it will go to the next cycle.
1. Backwash
2. Brine : confirm that the saltwater is being sucked out of the salt tank. Feel the tube.
3. Backwash / Rinse : confirm water goes into the drain out of the black line
4. Fill: confirm that water fills back into the salt tank.
5. Softening: normal working mode
